Why should I store medical records of my patients electronically, when neither current
law nor patients insist for this?
It’s true that neither law nor patients demand storage of medical records but
this practice has its own set of benefits for you. This includes efficient management
of clinic practice, finance as well as administration. Few of its prime benefits
include:
Systematic storage and streamlining of all clinic records
Standardization of practice – across all your clinics
Patient data available to you even if patients forget to carry their file, prescriptions,
etc.
Establishes a foundation for evidence-based practice
Saves time that is usually spent on repetitive activities – instructions, prescriptions,
letters, certificates, tagging, etc.
Generates various reports, electronic prescriptions and bills, helps collection
tracking
This and a lot more simplifies your practice way beyond imagination. For further

If I enter data into the Clinic Management System while my patients are sitting
in front of me, they may feel irritated that I’m not giving them attention but spending
more time with my gadget. How can I store my patients’ records electronically then?
This should not be a difficult task at all.
Your receptionist can enter data into the CMS – after your patient has finished
consultation, or
We can provide you with specialized digital equipment using which you may continue
to prescribe the way you currently practice – writing on your letterhead and giving
the prescription to your patient. At the end of day, you can send the file to us
with all the data on it and our data entry operators will enter the data in your
clinic account.

CMS is good for doctors in developed nations or the ones who do not see too many
patients daily. I am overloaded with patients and do not have the time to enter
their records electronically. How can I use the CMS?
CMS is an ideal tool for someone like you, who has a lot of patient data to
work with. In order to simplify your CMS usage, we would suggest you to choose any
of the following options:
Your receptionist can enter data into the CMS – after your patient has finished

You may also choose to begin by entering only non-clinical data and gradually move
onto entering clinical data as well.

Isn't a CMS loaded on my PC / Laptop / Tablet better than web-based Med Docket CMS?
Is my patients’ data safe on the web-based portal Med Docket? Can other doctors
see my data?
Your patient data is highly secure on Med Docket.
No one can access your data, without your username and password
Demographic data is encrypted, hence even if there is hacking, your data remains
protected
We do not sell data so may put all your worries to rest.
What if I decide one day that I do not want to continue with the CMS service? Will
I lose all my patients records?
It’s good that you are healthy but storing medical data digitally can have benefits
for you too:
No, you won’t lose any data. All your patient records will be given to you on an
external drive. This can then be migrated to other system by you
You may also take a printout of ‘Medical Summary’ of all your patients and store
it as a physical record, if needed.
